System Overview

The RC-1800 is a wireless activated, 2-way voice,
in-room emergency response system for use in retirement facilities or congregate living facilities. The RC-1800, upon activation, will automatically call up to 6 telephone numbers and verbally play an emergency identification message. After the
emergency message (up to 20 seconds) is played the caregiver is able to talk to the protected resident through a high quality 2-way voice, full duplex, speaker in the RC-1800. The caregiver can either terminate the call, or escalate the call to the next emergency number by a simple keystroke on their telephone handset. The RC-1800 console controls all functions, processes signals from the wearable transmitters and reports emergencies via the phone line directly to a caregiver.

Features

The remote phone-answering feature allows residents to answer an incoming phone call without having to get up by simply pressing their transmitter. The wearable transmitters can be used throughout the protected parties residence to activate the RC-1800 emergency response system. The caregiver call-in feature allows authorized caregivers or family members to call and open up a two-way voice conversation without any action required by the protected party. Multiple programmable options allow you to customize the RC-1800 to the individual needs of your residents and the environment that they live in.

Benefits

Greater freedom and peace of mind for your residents by allowing them to move about freely and still be only “a touch of a button” away from summoning help.

Enhanced liability coverage for your facility ensuring that help will be accessible when needed.

Efficiency, by allowing caregivers to speak directly to a resident without having to go to the resident’s room, unless a true emergency exists. Provides the caregiver with the ability to determine if the call is for assistance with a daily living need or an emergency.

Modular Design

Fully modular system inter-compatibility allows the RC-1800 to be integrated with all R-Care technologies, including R-Care common area protection, so that your resident call system can be expanded or enhanced without having to “change out” existing systems, transmitters, or equipment. Expand as required to meet resident population increases or budgetar considerations.

The RC-1800 is designed to be used as a stand alone response system and/or report to an on-site monitoring computer system for call data logging and “voice” recording of calls for auditing purposes.

NOTE: Computer monitoring is optional and not required for any operation of the RC-1800 voice dialer.
